LEADERS, USE CAPITALISM INSTEAD OF NON-PROFITS AND NGO’S TO SOLVE THE GREATEST TRAGEDIES OF THE WORLD
Lesson: Use Capitalistic, for-profit organizations instead of non-profits to fix the greatest tragedies of the world. History has proven over and over that enabling humans to work in their own self-interests, aligned with passionate causes, creates the most impactful and long-lasting positive effects on our country and the planet.

First, let me wildly praise the over 40,000 non-profits supporting our American Veterans, as our family and suite of companies support as many as possible from Tunnels to Towers to the USO. Yet, I learned 30 years ago how capitalistic organizations can take these missions to an entirely new level.
When elected President of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Virginia, I immediately implemented capitalism. For existing board members who had kept this role on their resumes forever, I gave them a list of responsibilities and targets they must meet – every single one resigned. I changed the compensation plans for all employees to be performance-based – 70% resigned.
One year later, the 65 children on the waiting list were all in Big relationships, and now, the waiting list to be a Big was a mile long! The budget had tripled due to incredibly kind community donors, and we had a large savings account for rainy days!
Gordon Gekko taught us, "(Capitalism), in all of its forms — greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge — has marked the upward surge of mankind.
Today, there are an unconscionable number of Veteran suicides each day, as well as an unimaginable number of Homeless Veterans. We are honored to be deeply involved with inVETment Capital and Joshua Diskin the CEO/Founder using real estate investment opportunities to help eradicate these Veteran issues. He is brilliant beyond his years and has assembled a remarkable team of developers, non-profits, and military organizations to house over 200,000 veterans – all combining strong investment rates of return with a passionate mission. As we get older, we realize we want our investments to also do good. Just let us know if you would like to be involved in any way. Please spread capitalism and passion everywhere possible – it has always worked and will continue to always work as long as American citizens remain diligent. Have a great week!
